Genomic Marketplace – Event-Driven Serverless Platform

Event-driven, serverless architecture supporting complex genomic data products without heavy ops

Challenge

  • •Need for a secure genomic marketplace with authenticated access and granular workflows
  • •Limited ops capacity; infra had to be lean, scalable, and observable
  • •Business logic evolving quickly as the product found fit

Solution

  • •Built the Genomic Marketplace UI using TypeScript + Vue + PrimeVue for rich, responsive components
  • •Clear flows for browsing, purchasing, and managing genomic products
  • •Deployed via AWS Amplify with Cognito authentication to secure access
  • •Implemented event-driven workflows with SQS + Lambda to process background tasks (notifications, data prep, etc.)
  • •CloudWatch logs and metrics for ops visibility
  • •Kept the backend modular and evolvable, so new product flows could be added incrementally

Impact

  • •Delivered a production-ready marketplace on a serverless backbone
  • •Reduced operational overhead while keeping scalability and reliability
  • •Proved ability to combine modern FE + AWS serverless for B2B platforms
